Godavari-Indradev Memorial Scholarship and Awards Distribution

Khirkhiriya, Nagarain Municipality-8, Dhanusha – July 11, 2025(27 Ashadh 2082 B.S.)

July 11, Khirakhiriya: Today, BiCALP Nepal, Janakpurdham-10 successfully organized two significant programs dedicated to promoting rural education and commemorating the legacy of its founders through the Godavari–Indradev Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Encouragement prizes and scholarships were awarded to marginalized and meritorious students studying in Grades 1, 2, and 3 at Mahavir Memorial English Boarding School, located in Nagarain Municipality-8, Khirkhiriya.

The program was held under the chairmanship of the Organization’s Secretary Mr. Dev Narayan Rajak together with Mr. Binay Kumar Yadav, Mayor of Nagarain Municipality as Chief Guest. The founding family member of the scholarship fund, Mrs. Kabita Kumari, and the Chief Guest of the program Mr. Binay Kumar Yadav jointly handed over the Annual Scholarship Amount of Nrs. 14,000 (Fourteen Thousand only) to Mahabir Memorial Boarding School’s Principal Mr. Indradev Mandal for the educational growth of the meritorious student Nihal Thakur, studying in G-3.

Additionally, encouragement prizes(notebooks, pens, GK book and Drawing Book) were awarded to the students securing the first, second, and third positions respectively in their classes:

Grade 1: Shivani Kumari Mahra, Aakash Kumar Das, and Ravi Kumar Sah

Grade 2: Ms. Soni Kumari Kamati, Prince Sah, and Ashu Kumari Yadav

Grade 3: Raju Kumar Sah, Smita Kumari Sah, and Khushboo Kumari Mahra

Senior citizen guardians Mr. Radha Ballabh Karn (90 years old) and Mrs. Phulo Devi Das (75 years old) were also honored with garments for encouraging their children’s education.

Local social youth activist Mr. Mahendra Yadav, Mr. Dev Narayan Rajak, Principal Mr. Indradev Mandal, Mr. Upendra Mandal, and leading farmer Mr. Laxman Mandal, along with Mayor Mr. Vinay Kumar Yadav, expressed their best wishes. The active participation of Anil Kumar Karn, Amresh Kumar Karn, Kabita Kumari, Laxmi Mandal, and the school’s teachers was praiseworthy. The program was hosted/conducted by Mr. Kamal Kumar Pankaj.
